On Thursday 23rd June a choir of 60 children spanning Year 1 to Year 6 performed at the launch of the Newham Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education at Newham Town Hall. They sang three songs which reflected the ethos of the occasion, and they were magnificent, singing their hearts out. We were the only choir to perform in a programme, which included a Dandiya-Hindu stick dance from pupils from Vicarage Primary School, a Jewish prayer, a Sikh Hymn and a Muslim blessing. Rokshana Fiaz, OBE, Mayor of Newham addressed the audience and was fulsome in her praise for our choir. This was a really heart-warming and positive event and it was both an honour and privilege to contribute our much-appreciated musical talents.
